Rolling to Glory: The Unstoppable Journey of Padiga Tejesh

In the heart of India’s roller skating arenas, one name has become synonymous with grit, grace, and gold—Padiga Tejesh. From strapping on his skates as a three-year-old in 2009 to conquering international podiums, Tejesh’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Guided by Arjuna Awardee Anup Kumar Yama, he transformed early talent into world-class skill, training tirelessly at Gymkhana Grounds, where countless hours of practice molded a champion.

At just 19, Tejesh’s tally reads like a legend in the making—179 medals spanning national and international competitions. Highlights include gold, silver, and bronze at the Oceania Championship in New Zealand (2024) and silver at the 19th Asian Championship in China (2023). At home, he has dominated India’s roller skating scene for nearly a decade, from Pollachi to Chennai, Bengaluru to Mohali, consistently proving that perseverance beats all odds.

What sets Tejesh apart is not just his speed or precision but his unwavering balance—juggling elite-level training with academic excellence, maintaining over 85% in his B.Tech studies at KLH University. Each medal tells a story of early mornings, grueling practice sessions, setbacks turned into fuel, and the sheer determination to push beyond limits.

Padiga Tejesh is more than an athlete; he is a movement. He embodies the spirit of ambition, inspiring young skaters across the country to dream bigger, train harder, and believe that no finish line is too far. In every twist, jump, and glide, Tejesh rolls not just toward victory, but toward the hearts of a nation, proving that true champions are defined by passion, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward.
