Ola

Ola was founded to solve a simple but urgent problem—mobility in India was broken. Cabs were unreliable, expensive, and unorganized. We built a platform to make urban travel affordable and accessible.

As ride-hailing stabilized, another challenge loomed: India’s transport was still stuck in the fossil fuel era. Pollution, rising fuel prices, and dependency on imports threatened sustainability. The solution we saw was electric mobility—but making it affordable and aspirational was the real test.

That’s where Ola Electric was born. From scooters to the recently announced car, we’ve invested in everything—gigafactories, battery innovation, and a women-run FutureFactory in Tamil Nadu. The response has been phenomenal: waiting lists, strong sales, and a cultural shift toward EV adoption.

Today, Ola is not just about rides—it’s about reimagining mobility. Our future lies in becoming India’s Tesla equivalent, building a full-stack EV ecosystem. The goal is audacious: to end the ICE age and put India at the center of global mobility innovation.
